Asus has recently introduced a budget-friendly flagship to the ROG Phone 9 series, known as the ROG Phone 9 FE. This marks Asus’s first Fan Edition phone, featuring a different processor from the other ROG Phone 9 models. Additionally, the ROG Phone 9 FE comes with a fresh set of stock wallpapers, which you can download from here.
While the ROG Phone 9 and 9 Pro are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the ROG Phone 9 FE runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This chipset, which previously featured in the ROG Phone 8 series, is a last-generation flagship processor.
Another key difference between the standard models and the Fan Edition lies in battery capacity. The ROG Phone 9 and 9 Pro house a 5,800mAh battery, whereas the budget variant comes with a slightly smaller 5,500mAh battery. Aside from this, most of the specifications remain unchanged, including a 6.78-inch FHD+ display with a 185Hz refresh rate, 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage, and camera specifications identical to the standard model.
In terms of design, the Fan Edition closely resembles the ROG Phone 9 and 9 Pro, featuring a rear camera module with three lenses, an LED flash, and the signature ROG branding.
At present, the ROG Phone 9 FE is only available in Thailand, with no official confirmation regarding its release in other regions. However, you don’t need to own the device to enjoy its stunning wallpapers; simply download them and use them on any device of your choice.
