For the iPhone 16 Pro lineup, Apple has introduced its latest system-on-a-chip (SoC) design, featuring a 64-bit ARM architecture. This new SoC is built on TSMC’s second-generation 3nm process, ensuring improved efficiency and performance. The striking symmetry of this design is beautifully showcased in an extensive Apple A18 Pro wallpaper pack, which features a vibrant array of colours inspired by Apple Intelligence.
The A18 Pro also boasts enhanced capabilities, including advanced display engines, improved USB controllers, and upgraded image signal processors. With USB-C integration, the A18 Pro enables data transfer speeds of up to 10 GB/s.
According to PC Mag, the A18 Pro is, on average, around 10% faster in benchmark tests compared to the A18 found in the standard iPhone 16 models. During Apple’s announcement event, the company claimed that the A18 Pro delivers a 15% performance boost in Apple Intelligence AI tasks compared to the A17 Pro.
Beyond raw speed, the SoC architecture features an intricate and visually stunning circuitry design. This is captured in the A18 Pro wallpaper collection for iPhone, where symmetry and detail create a striking artistic effect.
