OnePlus has officially unveiled its 2021 flagship lineup during an online launch event. For the first time, the company has introduced three models in the series: the much-anticipated OnePlus 9 Pro, the standard OnePlus 9, and the more affordable OnePlus 9R. These new models feature Hasselblad camera sensors, 120Hz displays, and a selection of stunning wallpapers. As always, OnePlus has included a collection of aesthetic wallpapers, which you can download for your device.
OnePlus 9 Series: A Quick Overview
After months of leaks and rumours, the OnePlus 9 series has finally been made official. Before we dive into the wallpapers, here’s a quick look at the new lineup.
The OnePlus 9 and 9R both feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the OnePlus 9 Pro is equipped with a larger 6.7-inch QHD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels. Under the hood, the OnePlus 9R is powered by the Snapdragon 870 5G chipset, while the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are equipped with the flagship Snapdragon 888 processor.
OnePlus has significantly upgraded its camera systems. The OnePlus 9 Pro boasts a quad-camera setup, including a 48MP primary sensor (Sony IMX789), a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8MP telephoto camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The OnePlus 9 features a triple-lens setup with a 48MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP monochrome sensor. Both models are equipped with a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies.
The OnePlus 9R also sports a quad-camera system, consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP telephoto lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.
The OnePlus 9R is available in Lake Blue and Carbon Black; the OnePlus 9 Pro comes in Morning Mist, Pine Green, and Stellar Black, while the OnePlus 9 is offered in Winter Mist, Astral Black, and Arctic Sky. Both the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro come in two variants: 8GB or 12GB of RAM, paired with 128GB or 256GB of onboard storage.
In terms of pricing, the OnePlus 9R starts at ₹39,999, while the OnePlus 9 is priced at ₹49,999 (approximately $730 in the US). All models run on OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 out of the box. The OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro include a 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W Warp Charging and 50W wireless charging.
