Today's colourful collection takes inspiration from an accident that was carefully refined to create the horizontal lines in these "Gradient Stripe" backgrounds.

Basic Apple Guy, known for his tedious and creative approach, thoughtfully and artistically creates this one-of-a-kind wallpaper collection. In his article, he explains the fascinating origin of this collection:
In the case of Stripes, the origin of this wallpaper began after I completed my 2024 Commander t-shirt design. While scaling it, I forgot to lock the Constrain Proportions toggle and ended up stretching the Commander Design along the X-Axis instead of proportionally. Something about that look intrigued me, so I blurred the lines using a motion blur to smooth out the colours horizontally. I liked the direction my experimentation was starting to go, and I felt I had something pretty cool on my hands.
From there, he experimented with different hues and gradients to create patterns that resonated with him. He tested the designs on his devices for a few days to assess their appeal over time. If they continued to impress, they were added to the collection; if not, they were adjusted or discarded.
The collection features ten unique designs, each with its own evocative name: Pastel Field, Aztec One, Dark Mode One, Giving Beach, Golden One, Earthy One, Underwater One, Deep Sea Blue One, Verdant One, and Dusty Dusk.
