Here you can download the official Pixel 7a 'Feathers' wallpapers

Google has recently unveiled the Pixel 7a. Whether you're considering it over the Pixel 6a, have already pre-ordered it, or aren't interested in the phone itself, there's one thing everyone can look forward to: new wallpapers. Continuing the collection introduced with last year’s flagship models, Google has included a fresh set of “Feathers” wallpapers with the Pixel 7a.

As always, we've managed to get hold of all the stock wallpapers bundled with the Pixel 7a. And the good news is, you don’t need to own a Pixel phone to enjoy these wallpapers — they can be downloaded and applied to any device.

With each new phone release, Google introduces a new set of wallpapers that complement the available colour options for that model. The Pixel 6 range was treated to a charming set of “Flowers,” while the more recent devices — from the Pixel 7 to the upcoming Pixel Fold — feature a collection of “Feathers” wallpapers.

In total, there are eight wallpapers, with two (one light and one dark) for each of the Pixel 7a’s available colours. All images are credited to filmmaker and photographer Andrew Zuckerman.

For the “Snow” white model, Google has chosen a pairing of a king vulture and a seagull, while the “Charcoal” black Pixel 7a features two images of a pied crow. Things get a bit more striking with the “Sea” blue option, which includes a vibrant green-winged macaw and a subtler magpie-jay. The exclusive “Coral” colourway, as expected, offers the boldest choices, with one wallpaper showcasing a green-winged macaw with bright red feathers and another highlighting the soft plumage of a flamingo. You can view previews of the wallpapers below:

The images are particularly intriguing as they focus on the intricate details of the feathers themselves, rather than the birds they belong to. If you're wondering why Google chose a feather theme for the Pixel 7 range after using flowers for the Pixel 6, Eunyoung Park, the former design lead of the Customisation and Personalisation UX team for Pixel, provided an in-depth explanation during a recent interview with Google Design.

Please note that the images in the gallery above are for reference only, as they have been compressed to reduce loading times. If you'd like to download the uncompressed Pixel 7a stock wallpapers for your device in their original resolution, you can find them in this Google Drive folder.

All the wallpapers come in a resolution of 1080 x 2400p and are available in PNG format, so you shouldn’t encounter any issues setting them up on your phone using the default wallpaper picker. If you do face any problems, simply use the Google Wallpapers app instead.
